Halloween Rockin’ at ‘Bandera’
Posted by Lisa Jenkins on Oct 23, 2009
Come out and party on Halloween with John David Kent and The Dumb Angels at the hot Bandera bar.
A recent Daily Candy review describes Bandera:
“Named after the Texas town known as the “cowboy capital of the world,” the bar stakes an inner-city claim for Red Dirt bands like CCR and Stoney LaRue. The goal is to make the Lower Greenville outpost a pit stop between Austin and Stillwater, Oklahoma, where the folksy-bluesy-twangy rock set usually plays. If you wanna hang from the rafters, they got ’em, along with rustic knotted pine walls and a patio fenced with pig wire.”
SMU’s Daily Mustang will be interviewing John David Kent next week, the interview will run in their newspaper and on their video blog. We’ll keep you posted with links…
Work on Minuteman continues and has been 24/7 recently. Actor Christian Kane arrives in Dallas tonight and begins rehearsals tomorrow. Yesterday, we were rehearsing at Medical City Hospital here in Dallas. Fortunately, we were able to work a deal to use a wing that’s under construction. We all bonded with the construction workers there on site. We adore them. They got a kick out of our movie making!
Billy Jett our fabulous production designer has been working on scenes and sets up at the ranch in Frisco.
The Dreamfly team went out last night and had a blast! After all our hard work it was time to let off some steam.
