Dreamfly Films is thrilled to announce pre-production has started this week on our latest film project….Minuteman.  Minuteman is a psycho-thriller written and directed by Mark Millhone.  Mark recently drove from his home in Virginia down to Dallas to make camp for pre-production and filming.  Mark, along with our casting and creative teams have headed up to a gorgeous horse ranch near Frisco, Texas.  By the way, it’s the same ranch where the first five episodes of the famous, long running,  TV show Dallas were filmed back in 1978.  The ranch sits on 5,000 acres.  It’s Stunningly beautiful.  Pristine barns, lots of Texas longhorns and the Ranch manager was even a former movie stunt man.

Mark Millhone is an award-winning writer, filmmaker, columnist and teacher.   Millhone’s latest book The Patron Saint of Used Cars and Second Chances is out now and available here and here.

Synopsis:

After returning  to civilian life as a Texas rancher, Captain Lance Deakin fends off attacks from former members of his unit as he struggles to uncover the truth of what he did as a soldier in Iraq. The military performed experiments on Lance and his men to turn them into super-soldiers and brainwashed them to remember their top secret missions as the hyper-violent content of a video game called MINUTEMAN. Lance must uncover the truth in time to save the woman he loves.

Our video game design that we are incorporating into the film is very close to being ready. We will be testing and recording the Mintuteman game on October 6th at SMU’s Guildhall. We will have 16 gamers playing the game while Mark is calling directions and we’ll be recording for the film.

Speaking of SMU….their newspaper The Daily Mustang just did a great review on Dreamfly Talent Management’s very own John David Kent and The Dumb Angels newest hit My Girl.

Also this week, we just inked a deal with writer Mark Millhone. He will be writing a screenplay about the demise of Vegas and the infiltration of gangs.
