“Minuteman” Comes Alive….

There’s excitement in the air here at Dreamfly, a creative buzz brought on by all the behind-the-scenes activity…our clever film elves are at it again. Writer, director, producer, artists, casting pros and even game designers have joined together in preparation for Dreamfly Films newest endeavor – a film called Minuteman.
Minuteman is a psycho-thriller, written and directed by award winning writer, Mark Milhone. Filming is set to begin this fall.

Synopsis:
After returning to civilian life as a Texas rancher, Captain Lance Deakin fends off attacks from former members of his unit as he struggles to uncover the truth of what he did as a soldier in Iraq. The military performed experiments on Lance and his men to turn them into super-soldiers and brainwashed them to remember their top secret missions as the hyper-violent content of a video game called MINUTEMAN. Lance must uncover the truth in time to save the woman he loves.

Mark recently shared an anecdote about our first meeting:
“Even though I can take no credit whatsoever for the name “DREAMFLY” I can think of no better name for what is going with Lisa. I met Lisa because of a Field of Dreams kind of relationship that I developed with a car that I bought on Ebay from a seller in the Dallas area. I just became completely fixated on it. I really had that sort of “if you build it they will come” voice talking to me about needing to leave NY and go down to TX to get this car. Sounds crazy but that trip did in fact change my life. Not only did it lead to a book deal (The Patron Saint of Used Cars & Second Chances – from Rodale Press, in bookstores now.) But it also led to me working with Lisa. We were just friends of friends when we sat down to that fateful lunch but since then have collaborated on a number of projects including a music video which I directed and she produced for John David Kent but to a number of film projects, the first of which to go before the cameras is MINUTEMAN. There’s just something in the water down here…”
