Elise McVeigh’s background is multi-faceted. A mass communication major at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas, she started her professional career as the managing editor of a Fort Worth newspaper, The Texas Times. She then worked as a copyeditor for Practitioners Publishing Company. While working, Elise found a passion for volunteer work, and went into the non-profit field as a fundraiser. McVeigh spent most of her non-profit career with the American Cancer Society, and then worked for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and left after having her first son. After son number three, McVeigh pursued her passion as a speaker, and found Elise McVeigh’s Life Camp. Elise has also returned to newspaper writing, as a weekly guest columnist for The Dallas Morning News Neighbors go, where thousands read her advice on manners and getting organized.
